Epstein-Barr virus:

the Epstein-barr virus is part of the Gammaherpesvirinae family. Its second name, EBV or herpes virus4, is caused by several diseases such as infectious mononucleosis and burkitt lymphoma

where is he it from ?

the virus takes its name from michael A.Epstein and Yvonne barr. It was discovered in 1964 from an analysis of a tumor

the Epstein-barr virus only affects humans, it is transmitted through saliva and intercourse, and multiplies in the cells of the oropharynx. Thanks to recent information, specialists have been able to demonstrate that B lymphocytes are the cause of primary infections. The virus has an ease of infection thanks to the continuous antigen in B lymphocytes

the Epstein-barr is therefore a very common virus, it infects almost 80% of the adult population of the world

The genome of the Epstein-Barr virus is a double stranded linear DNA of 172 base kilopairs. The genome encodes approximately 100 genes, 10 of which are expressed during the latent phase of the virus.
