I-What is hepatitis B?

Hepatatis B is a virus (HBV) which attacks the liver. Hepatitis B is the most common infection in the world. It is transmitted through blood ,so for example sex,shared or re-used needles, and from an infected mother to her newborn baby during pregnancy or delivery.

Many people infected are able to get rid of the hepatitis B alone. However, some people develop chronic infection during their life. There is a safe vaccine who prevent a which prevents hepatitis B infection and there is treatments for those already infected with hepatitis B.

II-How many people are affected ?

In the world, there is are 2 billion people have been infected with hepatitis B. 257 million people are chronically infected and 700 000 people die from hepatitis B per year. In some regions such as Asia, parts of Africa and South America, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East, are at a much higher risk for getting infected.

IV-How much hepatitis ?

There are three forms of hepatitis: A, B and C. Unlike A and B, hepatitis C has not known vaccine to date there is still no vaccine for hepatitis C. They are said to be viral because they result from viral infection. Hepaties hepatitis B and C are very similar. But C don't have vaccine there is no vaccine for Hepatitis C therefore it is impossible to develop immunity to this infection.

it is important to modify your lifestyle to preserve your liver when you have hepatitis b. For example you can :

  • Stop all alcohol consumption
  • Stop smoking
  • Lose weight if necessary
  • Have normal blood sugar and fat levels
  • And follow his all treatment correctly

In conlusion, Hepatitis is one of the best known viruses in the world. It reaches affects many people and causes a lot of deaths. Many people do not really know about this virus. To make them aware of the virus, there are many prevention campaigns to raise awareness.
