The Piano

.
.
.

History

.
The first piano was the piano-forte. It was created in years the 1700’s. The first version of the piano was in the book of the italian Scipione Maffei in 1711. It’s an article with a drawing and a description of the mechanism. The first model of this piano was built by Bartolomeo Cristofory in the town of Florence, in Italia Italy . But this piano isn’t the version which we know now today. Now, there is the modern piano. The change from the piano-forte to the modern piano was made between Mozart’s death and

Schubert’s death, so between 1791 and 1828. It was a rivalry between Sebastien Erhard, a French man and Ignace Pleyel, an Autrichian man which is the source of the conversion of the piano-forte to the modern piano.
.

Types of Piano

.
There are different types of piano. There are acoustic pianos with the grand piano and the upright piano. There are older pianos than acoustic pianos like electic pianos and the synthesizer. A most An older but just as famous as other keyboards is the organ, which exist existed before de the piano-forte and which was a lot used a lot by Bach. There are many keyboards like the harpsichord, the harmonium, the spinet, the clavichord, etc.

Mechanism

.
The mechanism of the piano is very complex, so I will resume the easier than possible try to sum it up in a simple way . The piano is part of the family of ropes chords like the violin or the guitar. In the piano, there are hammers, wich hit ropes which hit the cords . This action product produces a sound which is different depending on the key which we have press pressed. There are plates’felt "wet sandcast plates" which named is stifling and which serve to stop the make a sound when we drop the press on a key. In the piano, there are two or three pedals. One pedals is only in the electric pianos because it serves to have **the purpose of a headphone to be the only the person who listen what wants to listen to what he plays. The pedal which in on the right serves to resonate and during the note : stiflings are distant the ropes and don’t stop the sound when we drop the key Mal dit/confus. The pedal which in on the left serve to product produce a short sound : hammers are cluster the ropes to product a shorter sound Mal dit/confus.

Sheet of music

.
The piano is formal music. To play the piano, you may eventually play or improvise only by ear. But most musicians play by reading music on a partition.

So if you can’t read a music sheet, it is very hard to play the piano. It’s the reason why music theory, despite it’s not funny it being a little boring , is very important : on a piano, there are seven notes : do, ré, mi, fa, sol, la and si which are the white keys on the piano. We named that also also name them tones tones. Black keys in a piano are half tones which are named flat and sharp. When we play a flate note, it’s the note diminished of one half tone. When we play a sharp note, it’s the note augmented of one a louder note than the half tone. They There are also different notes for different times : When the note dured 4 times, it’s a semi breve has a value of four beats, it's a semibreve note . When th note —dured 2 times, has a value of two beats it’s a minim— . When a note during 1 time, has a value of one beat it’s a black crotchet . When the note dured a half time, has a value of a half beat it’s a quaver. There are lot of different times beats like that.
