Axelle G's project page : The Mountain Bike

I found your text interesting with hardly any mistakes and it is well organised: there's a good mix between information content and visual content. However, you should have made it more "personal". I know you carried out a lot of research to do the work on this page but your texts should be entirely written by yourself and not "taken" directly from some website or written by someone who speaks perfect English !

Your mark is 14/20

THE HISTORY OF THE MOUNTAIN BIKE

…..The mountain bike is a bike intended for use on rought terrain rough ground , off paved roads.
This type of bike appeared in the United States in the mid-1970s in order to organize downhill mountain races. World championships have been held since 1990.
Joe Breeze is recognized as the first craftsman to have built a bike only intended for off-road use . But it was Tom Ritchey who launched the first mass production, creating the brand Fisher MountainBikes in 1979, with Gary Fisher and Charlie Kelly.
In France, the first mountain bikes, coming from Canada, appeared in La Plagne (a winter sports resort) in 1983, during a presentation organized by Stéphane Hauvette, founder of the AFMB (French Mountain Bike Association). The first mountain bike race in France is was the Roc d'Azur (mountain bike demonstration) in 1984. The first French mountain bikes date from the same year.
Today, the mountain bike represents 70% of the cycle Bicycle market in France distributed in to more than 2,700 clubs.

Mountain biking is a very broad sport, there is downhill mountain biking or Down Hill, enduro, cross country, trail, all mountain…
Each of them is built with different components to suit a different practice.

I love this sport because it makes me discover the flora and fauna during walks in the forests. It allows me to clear my head, to meet people practicing this the same sport as well as to discover places accessible only by mountain bikes . It is also a very beneficial leisure for my health thanks to which I expend energy, I let off steam … It teaches me mechanics as well as better knowing how to orient myself. This activity contributes to ecology and sustainable development because you can move around without consuming.
